ASSIST and Leo Leutze offered on 25th Mai 2024 the opportunity to participate in the design of a board game including the rule set.
Three Student and two Assist SCs participated.

Leo is a former Physics Teacher and has already, during his active time, developed games to support the lessons.

In perfect hiking weather, we set off from Schelklingen railroad station through the May-green Achtal valley to Hohle Fels. This huge cave was the site where the so-called „Venus of Hohle Fels“ was found in 2008. The figure, carved from mammoth ivory, is 40,000 years old and the oldest depiction of a human found anywhere in the world.

Ravensburg, the picturesque town in the heart of southern Germany, is a gem to be discovered. With its charming medieval old town, lively cultural scene and picturesque surroundings, Ravensburg offers a delightful mix of history, art and nature. ASSIST visited this fascinating destination on 20 April with a small group of international students from 5 different countries, accompanied by ASSIST advisors.

ASSIST is part of the „EngagierDich-Woche“ ( 15th – 22nd March 2024) organized by the organization „engagiert-in-Ulm“

On 24th February 2024, Assist offered, for the International Students, an excursion to Sigmaringen and the upper Danube Valley.

A group Eight international students and some senior consultants visited the „spark fire“ in Illerzell.
Such traditional events take place, especially in southern Germany.

ASSIST does support the THU in their SARS program with an Excursion of 24 Students from South Korea to the city of Nördlingen

As 2023 draws to a close once again, it’s time to look back on ASSIST’s activities in 2023. For us, 2023 was a very eventful but also successful year. 
The number of Senior Consultants increased positively to 17 by the end of November.

As the year 2023 is ending we offered the last Excursion on the 9th of December to the two locations museum and Christmas market in Esslingen.:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and have been excited that also this year we have had the ASSIST Christmas Party!  As we gather to celebrate the season, we did come together to share the joy, laughter, and gratitude that make this time so special.
At the 7th December 2023 we could welcome 19 Students and 11 Senior Consultants in the Villa Eberhard.
 

The medieval town of Nördlingen was the destination of a group of international students on a day trip organised by ASSIST. The picturesque town was founded in the early Middle Ages and is part of the so-called „Romantic Road“ in Germany. 

We have been thrilled to have a culinary journey that will tantalize our taste buds and ignite our passion for cooking.

at our Cooking Extravaganza!

On 14th October 14 Students and 4 Senior Consultants participated in an enchanting visit to Castle Lichtenstein, a place where fairy tales come to life amidst the stunning landscapes of the Swabian Alb. we got as promised a royal promises history, beauty, and awe-inspiring vistas. In a Guided Castle Tour we explored the rich history and architectural splendor of Castle Lichtenstein. Our knowledgeable guide showed us the halls and chambers, sharing fascinating stories and insights about this medieval gem.

For Saturday the 9th September, ASSIST invited the international students of the University of Ulm too met for a game event called „Ackergolf“. 
The day has been a beautiful sunny day. We have been a small group of Students and Senior Consultants but very motivated to enjoy the Game.

Despite the early departure, all registered participants were on time and enjoyed the coolness of the morning. By train we went to Riedlingen and then by bus to Zwiefalten. After a short walk through the park, we were already at Zwiefalten Cathedral, the first highlight of the day.

In ideal excursion weather we drove with 3 cars and a total of 13 participants ( 9 Students from 6 Countries) through the summery landscape of the Swabian Alb to Bad Urach. Some of the fields had already been harvested.

ASSIST performed the visit to the City of Kirchheim Teck . Beside the City we have visited a museum of fire brigades, there old trucks and technics.

For the first time ASSIST invited to an excursion to Constance at Lake Constance. The response to the invitation was overwhelming: more than 40 interested people signed up for only 25 places.

Saturday the 27th of May 2023, 20 students from 14 countries were ready for a beautiful day at Lake Constance with the stations Salem-Affenberg and Pfahlbauten in Unteruhldingen. The weather was excellent and everyone was in a good mood. Unfortunately the Bundesbahn had something in store for us, the train was cancelled, so we had to reschedule the day. But this was no reason to lose our good mood.

We spent an eventful day with a small group of the students. We visited the „URMU“ Museum, the Blautopf and the „Hohle Fels“ cave.
