The tour took us through the picturesque old town and the impressive Ulm Minster, where we were not only able to admire the sights of the city, but also learn exciting stories and background information. What a great evening! It’s Saturday night in the spacious kitchen of the Ulm Family Education Centre. It smells delicious and tempting. The potatoes are steaming away in the steamers and the veg meat is roasting in the oven. Young women and men are cutting vegetables and kneading dough. We’re in the middle of the second ASSIST cooking event and we’re taking a look inside some of the pots.
On 26.10.24, International Students from the UNI-Ulm, THU and HNU coming from 15 different countries, accompanied by senior consultants from ASSIST, made their way from Ulm to Schaffhausen to explore the beautiful Swiss region and the impressive Rhine Falls together.

During this excursion you experience a wonderful Barock Church, a Brewery , a short hiking tours to a natural valley and an underground boot Tripp.
On Saturday, June 15, our group of international students from Ulm set off on a day trip to Lake Constance in the pouring rain. We traveled by train, bus and ferry to Constance, where the sun rose as soon as we arrived. Our tour of the historic old town could therefore begin under ideal conditions.

This is not German lessons in the classical format but is based on personal exchange of topics determined by the learner.
The focus is on the ability to hear, understand, interpret and use language in response.
Therefore, we focus on communication in German, the existing gaps are supplemented with English and also with the explanation in German.
This is intended to overcome barriers to speak in German.
ASSIST and Leo Leutze offered on 25th Mai 2024 the opportunity to participate in the design of a board game including the rule set.
Three Student and two Assist SCs participated.
Leo is a former Physics Teacher and has already, during his active time, developed games to support the lessons.

This huge cave was the site where the so-called “Venus of Hohle Fels” was found in 2008. The figure, carved from mammoth ivory, is 40,000 years old and the oldest depiction of a human found anywhere in the world.
