Blog: ASSIST Excursion to City of Constance & Meersburg on 15th June 2024
An Excursion by Train, Bus and Ferry
On Saturday, June 15, our group of international students from Ulm set off on a day trip to Lake Constance in the pouring rain. We traveled by train, bus and ferry to Constance, where the sun rose as soon as we arrived. Our tour of the historic old town could therefore begin under ideal conditions. The city guide from Constance Marketing & Tourism, herself a student with experience abroad, led us from the harbor promenade with the famous Imperia statue through the picturesque old town streets of the largest city on Lake Constance in an entertaining and knowledgeable manner.
Most of the students used their free time in Konstanz to take a boat trip on the lake. “That was my personal highlight of the day,” said one participant. The return trip was by ferry to Meersburg, where a walk through the picturesque little town rounded off the excursion. 11 students from 9 different countries and three ASSIST Senior Consultants took part.
