ASSIST 2023 retrospect
As 2023 draws to a close once again, it’s time to look back on ASSIST’s activities in 2023. For us, 2023 was a very eventful but also successful year.
The number of Senior Consultants increased positively to 17 by the end of November.
Once again, we were able to organize 14 excursions and 3 events. The events ranged from “Ackergolf”, a joint cooking event at the FBS and
to the Christmas party at Villa Eberhardt. In our offer to support students in learning German, there are currently around 12 language tandems.
As well as offering our services to students, we also took part in several events organized by UNI-Ulm, ZAWIW, Engagiert in Ulm and the VHS.
A total of 230 students from more than 20 nations took part in our offers, 43 of them several times. As in 2022, we have once again induct students
into the ASSIST “Hall of Fame” this year. First place with 10 participations, second place with 7 participations and third place with 5-6 participations.
ASSIST now has more than 250 international students on the ASSIST mailing list and currently also 160 followers on Instagram, 55 more than 2022.
At the Christmas party on December 7, we sang Christmas carols and the “Christmas bakery” with the students over mulled wine and, of course, other drinks.
Everyone was fully involved in all the program items. An extensive international buffet (brought by the students and senior consultants) provided for the physical well-being. Everything together made for an atmospheric celebration.
Many thanks to the organizers and all participants as well as for the food and drink donations.
Planning for 2024 has begun and new excursion destinations have already been suggested.
