Elderly and experienced adults – SeniorConsultants – support international students during their stay in Germany while they study at Ulm University.  This is the basic idea of ASSIST. We are sorry that in the years 2020 and 2021 no excursions could be organized because of the Corona-restrictions.

In 2022 we had planned an excursion to Breitachklamm on February 19th, however this had to be postphoned because of the heavy storms, which made the passage of this valley too dangerous.

The range of activities offered is as far as the range of life experience of our  Senior Consultants.

In excursions to place of interest in the nearer or further neighbourhoud students not only get to know the touristical highlights but talks with accompagnying seniors they may teach what geographical, cultural and economical background shaped the landscape, they are visiting.
Visiting folkloristic and cultural activities enable access and appreciation and in any case means great fun.
Some senior consultants may use the contacts from their former professional life to organize excursions to renown compagnies in the neighbourhoud.
Feasting together not only encourages the contact but also improoves the knowledge about the underlying tradition.
