The Allgäu at Its Best – International Group Visits Oberstdorf

Mountains, sunshine, and a cloudless sky welcomed our international group of students on September 27. The group’s destination was a hike to the „Gaisalpe“, a traditional inn offering an unparalleled view of the Iller Valley. The ascent, at 400 meters in elevation gain, was short but quite steep and strenuous at the start. This was followed by a leisurely path through pastures dotted with Allgäu cattle.

After a after a picnic, we headed downhill on a forest trail toward Oberstdorf. An impressive waterfall prompted an unexpected stop. Back in picturesque Oberstdorf, there was time to chill out and relax for an hour before we boarded the train back to Ulm.
