ASSIST excursion to Bregenz and Lindau on July 19, 2025

Lake Constance is the largest lake in Germany, picturesquely situated in the Alpine foothills, making it an attractive destination for short and longer trips. 16 international students from Ulm were present at the start of the ASSIST day trip at Ulm Central Station. The first destination on the Austrian side of the lake was Bregenz. The group walked to the “Seebühne” (lake stage). Every summer, an opera is performed on this world-famous opera stage in the middle of the lake. However, the traditional alphorn players are not part of the opera and were just a surprise for the group of visitors.

The group continued the tour by crossing Lake Constance by boat to Lindau on the German side in bright sunshine with a view of the Alps. In Lindau, whose old town was built on an island, there was a professional guided tour through the picturesque old town streets and to the historically important harbor with the Bavarian lion.
